Mark McDonnell is teaching at 3Kicks this summer !!!

Hi all,

3Kicks Studio is please to announce that Mark McDonnell will be teaching a new class st 3Kicks this Summer. The new class he will be teaching is Figure invention and gesture drawing for animation. It is a great class for students who want to be able to invent any figures out of their heads and able to get the gesture down with nice rhythm and flow.
Mark McDonnell is a top designer that has worked in a wide variety of skill sets such as character design, layout design, look development, graphic design, and as an instructor. He is currently instructing at The Walt Disney Company on the subject of gesture drawing. He has worked for a wide range of studios that include: Walt Disney Feature, Disney Toon Studios, Walt Disney Television Animation, Pixar, Miramax, Fox, H.I.T. Entertainment, New Line, Mattel, Sony, Legendary Pictures, The Jim Henson Company, Big Idea Inc. and many more.

Hi,

Don't miss this great exhibition !!! A group exhibition of works on the classical figure by contemporary artists Mary Jane Ansell, Sean Cheetham, Ron English, Benjamin Bryce Kelly, Miles 'Mac' MacGregor, Ann Marshall, Stephen Wright, and Jonathan Yeo, on view May 7, through June 4, 2011. Steve Huston 2 day painting workshop

Dear friends and students,

My teacher Steve Huston who just recently won the gold medal prize "Best Painting in Show" for the 100th year California Art Club Annual Exhibition is coming to LA on 4/30 and 5/1 doing a two day figure painting workshop and one day figure drawing workshop. Please see the flyer and link for detailed information.

**FYI: The drawing workshop on 4/30 from 8:00pm-11:00pm at 3kicksstudio is almost full, only have a couple spots left.
The painting workshop hosted in Laguna College of Art and Design also has limited space available, so anyone who is interested, SIGN UP NOW!!! It will fill up quick too. You will need to register this one through Laguna College of Art and Design. Sign up detail is on the flyer.

Spring term 2011

Hi all,

Our spring term schedule is out!!! Please check out the new workshops we have for this term. We have Steve Huston doing a drawing workshop on April 30th. Tim Tien is doing 2 still life workshops at 3Kicks as well. The still life workshops will involve both indoor and outdoor painting. Gary Meyer is back doing a creative perspective class. We are accepting enrollment now, sign up early!!!
