Due to Comic Con, the following classes will be postponed a week :

We are pleased to announce that Sunny Apinchapong will be teaching a Painting with an emphasis on colors class at 3Kicks in the Summer.  The first half of the class will be painting still life and the second half of the class will be painting figure.  It is a great class for students who would like to learn about colors.

Students' works from Glen Orbik's Gouache: From Head Painting to Picture Making

Here are images of some of the students' illustration projects done in Glen Orbik's Gouache: From Head Painting to Picture Making class. Students start from photo shooting, color thumbnails to finished paintings. It is a great class to learn how to take an illustration or painting from start to finish.
This class will start on April 15th. Sunday from 5 to 9pm.

Mark McDonnell's Imaginative Costumed Quick Sketch is starting on April 13th

Mark McDonnell is teaching a class called Imaginative costumed quick sketch class which helps students on capturing gesture and to use their imagination to tell stories and take their drawings to another level. It is very fun class, don't pass this chance up!

Mark McDonnell's bio: he has worked as a character designer, a layout/set designer, prop designer, look development designer and as an instructor. Mark has instructed at The Animation Academy, The Walt Disney Company, Dreamworks, LAAFA and now at 3Kicks.

Gary Meyer will be teaching this Dynamic Sketching class in Spring term as well. He will cover basic lighting, value, seascape. cityscape, landscape, vehicle, surfaces of different materials, and costumed figure. It is a class for all level. This class is on Tuesday 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

We have a new class Dynamic Sketching by Gary Meyer in our Fall term starting Jan. 9th, 2012.

Class description:

This course consists of lectures, demonstrations and painting. The instructor demonstrates the rendering of various objects, landscapes, seascapes, city scapes and costumed figures in acrylic paint. The students paint based on principles discussed in class.
